ADHD Center
Assessment, coaching, and family strategies that help children with ADHD understand their minds and turn focus challenges into strengths.
הקשבה · The art of listening
Hakshiva walks alongside the children, teens, and families of Beit Shemesh with professional mental-health care and educational support — meeting each person exactly where they are, and helping them grow toward the life they’re capable of.
Our name, Hakshiva, is the Hebrew word for listening. It’s where every real change begins.
We’re here for everyone in a young person’s world
Our mission
We exist to provide outstanding professional mental-health and educational services to the youth of Beit Shemesh — so that every young person can lead a productive, emotionally healthy, and connected adult life.
Behind that goal is a simple belief: change happens in relationships. When a child feels genuinely heard, when a parent feels supported, when a family feels understood — that’s the ground where confidence, resilience, and real growth take root.
What we do
From a child’s first reading struggle to a couple finding their footing again, our specialized team offers care that meets the whole person — and the whole family.
Assessment, coaching, and family strategies that help children with ADHD understand their minds and turn focus challenges into strengths.
A safe, structured place to land after school — academic support, mentoring, and connection for kids who need an extra hand to keep up and feel they belong.
Professional, confidential therapy for children, teens, and adults — a safe space to be heard and to work through what feels heavy.
Tailored learning support that closes gaps, rebuilds confidence, and helps every student find a way forward that works for them.
Goal-focused programs that build the everyday skills — habits, emotional regulation, self-belief — that carry a young person into adulthood.
Small-group work where kids practice friendship, communication, and confidence in a setting that feels safe enough to try.
Consistent, caring adults who show up week after week — the kind of steady relationship that helps a young person believe in their own future.
Support for the whole family system — because when parents and partners are steady and connected, children thrive.

How we work
Professional rigor and genuine human warmth aren’t opposites here — they’re both how we keep our promise to the families who trust us.
Every relationship with a client and their family is built on trust and emotional safety first.
Thoughtful workplans give each family a real sense of direction — and a path they can see.
Integrated evaluation tools help us know what’s working and adjust care with honesty.
Educators, mental-health professionals, and dedicated lay workers, side by side.
Multi-faceted, customized care — because no two children, and no two families, are the same.
We work hand in hand with schools and the municipality so support reaches kids where they already are.
Why it matters
